The 150th anniversary of the Battle of Marshall, located at the Marshall Indian Foothills Park and sponsored by 2nd Missouri Infantry Co. K, Ron Ulrich, military liaison, is a Missouri Civil War Reenactors Association maximum effort event with full amenties, offering $100 bounty for the first 2 cannons on each side, and $50 for the first 25 cavalry horse and rider; two battle recreations on part of the actual battlefield of Col. Joe. Shelby's running battle. Also planned are a confrontation at Saline County Courthouse and 2-mile Parade of Flags to the battlefield, located at Marshall Indian Foothills Park; Ladies' Tea; an evening Country Dance at North Point Pavilion; and Sunday church service.
