Pilot Knob

The Battle of Pilot Knob marked the beginning of Sterling Price's 1864 invasion of Missouri.  The reenactment will be held at Fort Davidson State Historic Site in Pilot Knob September 26-28, 2014 and will be open to the public each day at 8:00 a.m.  For more information, contact the historic site at 573-546-3454.

City of Jefferson

The Historic City of Jefferson is sponsoring a commemoration event of the American Civil War for Sunday, October 5, 2014 when 150 years ago, Confederate General Sterling Price approached Jefferson City with intent to attack. “The Battle that Never Was” will be brought to live on Sunday, October 5, 2014 enabling today’s citizenry to take a trolley car tour to the city’s sites where soldiers of both the Confederacy and the Union made history.

The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is hosting a celebration of the 150th year of the Battle of Glasgow. Ladies and gentlemen, dress in your very best period hats and gowns. This will be an event to be remembered.

The Ray County Historical Society is hosting a Civil War Re-Enactment for the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Albany and the death of Capt. William Anderson. Re-enactors will check in on Friday, which is followed by two days of mock battles, Battle of Albany re-enactment, the funeral of Capt Anderson, a Civil War Ball, the dedication of two Missouri State Civil War Panels and a variety of other events.
