Belgian Shepherd Dog
The Belgian Shepherd Dog is very intelligent, alert and very Dog breeds that are suitable for outdoor use. If your house is large enough, they can also adapt well to a family environment. At present, Belgian Shepherd dogs can be divided into four different types: short-haired, black long-haired, mixed-colored long-haired and just-haired.
Before the 19th century, many breeds closely related to shepherd dogs existed in Belgium. Later, due to the increased need to protect sheep, breeders improved the breeding of these shepherd dogs into four basic dog breeds with different color coats, namely black long-haired breeds, short-haired breeds, mixed-colored long-haired breeds and Just hairy. Dog fans regard these dog breeds as different forms of the same species. The United States considers the following three types of dogs as distinct species, namely the Belgian Shepherd black-coated breed, the mixed-colored coated breed and the just-coated breed, but they have not yet been recognized in the United States. At the beginning of the 20th century, Belgian shepherd dogs were widely used to guard sheep around Belgium. Nowadays, they are mainly used in the military and police circles, or for protection by pub owners.
