Summer is here, and as the weather changes, we must also make appropriate arrangements for the dog’s diet. How to operate it?
In summer, dog feed is prone to deterioration, especially high-protein feed such as meat. Therefore, attention should be paid to preventing food poisoning. The feed should be fresh food that has been heated and then cooled. The amount should be appropriately reduced, taking into account the decrease in dog food intake in winter. It is absolutely impossible to feed moldy and spoiled food to dogs. If the dog develops vomiting, diarrhea, or general symptoms of general weakness shortly after eating, seek immediate treatment.
1. It is normal for dogs to eat less in summer than in other seasons. Therefore, you might as well prepare less food for your dog, so as not to waste a long time working hard and end up with the dog not being able to eat more than a few bites, and then worrying about the food spoiling and throwing it away. Dog food is not cheap, but it is better to spend less.
2. Use some cool and delicious dog food mixed with it. For example, yogurt, cheese, Miaoxian Bao and other foods that can be chilled in the refrigerator and then taste good can be mixed with dog food to let the dog eat more food.
3. It is suitable to give your dog some cold drinks. Milk-flavored popsicles are my dog's favorite item, and a small pudding can be finished in no time. If you have just taken your dog out for a walk, giving him a popsicle when he is lying on the ground huffing and puffing after returning home can help him lower his body temperature faster, which is useful for dogs. However, don’t eat too much and be careful of stomach upset. For smaller dogs, it is best to eat a popsicle repeatedly. There is nothing wrong with ice water. You can give your dog some ice water to drink after you go out and come home. It is also useful for keeping the body temperature of dwarf dogs.
The temperature in summer is high and bacteria and viruses are active. We must not be careless about the dog’s diet.
